how g12 was born
The excitement began in 2013, when our founders Karl and Cathy Mason established the first gin distillery in the beautiful Yorkshire region. Now one of the most successful craft distilleries in the UK, we are just as excited about making gin as we were on day one.
With new distilling methods being trialled, we couldn’t resist experimenting. Would modern techniques match the superior flavour developed through the traditional approach?
Crafted with the same care and attention as every Mason’s gin, we are incredibly proud to share G12. After twelve recipe trials and a lot of tasting, we have a contemporary gin that lives up to our relentlessly high expectations.
Our award winning distillers have combined modern distilling techniques, a unique blend of botanicals and pure Yorkshire water to bring you a gin with a long, smooth flavour and a fresh burst of citrus. We have also now added a Grapefruit and Mandarin edition to the G12 family, which is distilled with fresh mandarin and has a refreshing grapefruit citrus flavour.
